Boxwood Distillery recently hosted an unforgettable grand opening party to introduce its latest additions—bourbons and whiskeys. With approximately 400 attendees, the release event was far more successful than anticipated. The day was vibrant with the distillation of friendships and spirits, embodying a genuine Southern hospitality flair.

Rooted in Heritage and Family Tradition

Jack Marchette, the owner, draws inspiration from his ancestral roots in spirit-making. By transforming his farmland into a distillery, Marchette honors his family’s tradition while fully embracing the agricultural richness of the Pee Dee region. “This is more than just a business; it’s a legacy I hope to pass down to my children and grandchildren,” he shares.

Crafting Excellence with a Dedicated Team

The distillery stands out not only for its premium spirits but also for its remarkable team. Chris Canfield, the brand and marketing manager, has been instrumental since day one, helping shape the brand’s image and product line with a thoughtful artistic touch. Canfield remarks, “Our focus remains steadfast on quality over quantity.”

Inviting Ambiance and Gourmet Delights

Visitors were treated to curated tours of the facility, tastings, and signature cocktails specially crafted for the event. Master mixologist Rob Stellato designed the cocktail menu to complement the new spirits—a seamless transition from summer to fall flavors that highlights the distillery’s creativity.

With plans to extend its operating hours, Boxwood Distillery is aiming to carve out more opportunities to engage with its growing clientele. The distillery continues to thrive on its legacy of crafting small-batch spirits that speak to both past traditions and future possibilities.
