Despite initial plans to simply repaint the table, Carl decided to elevate the project, embracing his signwriting skills to color-match the table to the iconic biscuit shade. The challenge truly began when he went to pick up the table, realizing its hefty size—almost a meter and a half long and considerably heavy. Determined, he engraved the word ‘Bourbon’ across its surface and replicated the familiar steam holes designed to prevent cracking during baking.
