New Riff Distilling has partnered with the Silver Grove Community Foundation to establish a new park at Green Valley Pond in Silver Grove, funded by the sales of their special Silver Grove commemorative edition whiskey.
A Heartfelt Dedication at Green Valley Pond
The park at Green Valley Pond was dedicated on a memorable Monday. New Riff president Mollie Lewis expressed their commitment to giving back, noting that the funds raised from the Silver Grove commemorative edition Whiskey allowed them to donate an impressive $16,830 to the foundation.
Thanks to this generous contribution, the initial phase of park improvements has already been completed. Visitors can now enjoy benches made from recycled plastic, conveniently placed trash bins, and a community message board. Future plans include a recreational trail around the pond, connecting to the existing sidewalks.

Described by assistant head distiller Bryon Martin, the bourbon offers delightful notes of dark red fruits and rye spices on the nose, leading to a mouthfeel that transitions from dark brown sugars to wood spices and tannins. The 2024 Silver Grove Bourbon is bottled at 116.2 proof and crafted from a mashbill of 65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% malted barley.

In addition to the 2024 Silver Grove Bourbon, New Riff is also excited to introduce the Silver Grove Rye. With bold flavors and an interesting blend of spices, this rye whiskey is sure to please. It features strong notes of mint, black pepper, and hints of citrus and oak, completed with an upfront cinnamon spiciness and a finish of minerality and eucalyptus. Bottled at 116.4 proof, the Silver Grove Rye consists of a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted rye.
